P.W. Akkerman #13 Simplisties Violet is similar to Diamine Lavender in colour, but the former behaves more… luxuriously. It is more saturated, doesn’t feel thin under the nib, and is more vibrant even after it dries. In heavily saturated swabs, it presents a substantial coppery sheen at the edge of where the ink pools, but not during normal writing with a broad wet nib. I am a fan of thinner, contained lines obtained with a wet writer, and Simplisties Violet serves me well in my Sailor 1911L 21 kt H-MF LF and H-B nibs. I would use this ink with drier nibs for corrections and marginalia, and in wetter one for correspondence and note-taking sessions. I find its readability excellent.
