great ink
Great ink, love the bottle! Enjoying writing with it. Like the idea of relating the names to places. Saving for more.
This 60ml bottle of Akkerman #14 Parkpop Purper fountain pen ink is a bright, vibrant shade of purple, and the packaging is very distinctive. The ink bottle fills by tipping the bottle upside down so that ink flows from the large bottom section, into a small upper section. When you tip the bottle back up, a small marble rests in the neck of the bottle to divide the two sections. Each color is named for a location in The Hague.

I’ve been questing for the ultimate purple that is also relatively safe (A lot of heavily pigmented inks, unfortunately don’t work well with vintage) and I found it here. Great flow, nice saturated color
Bought this from the Andersons at the Triangle Pen Show. I admit that I just had to have one of those bottles. The ink is as nice as the bottle. Beautiful shade of purple that is silky smooth. A pleasure to write with. Now I'd like the ink if it were in a paper box!
Great bottle
People who already know this ink don't care to read a review. They already know it's a gorgeous color. People who aren't up on inks don't want to read a bunch of technical stuff that confuses them in the first place. They likely just want to know if it is a nice color. Yes, Yes, Yes.
They might even want to know if Akkerman is just another boring looking bottle. No, not at all. Some people buy this ink, simply because of the gorgeous bottle. Now, a plug for the Andersons: they are one of only a few pen and ink sellers in the United States that sell Akkerman ink. They are also very professional, but the very best thing about the Andersons is, they added two pieces of candy in my order. A Jolly Rancher and a Life Saver beats a Mini Tootsie Pop, any day.
