The perfect A5 notebook
This might as well be called the notebook to end all notebook disputes; if you don't mind ivory paper to write on, and if you like all things minimalist, that is. The paper is first rate, no bleedthrough with any ink I tried, no spreading or feathering, yet fairly quick-drying. The title/date box over each page makes journal entries instantly identifiable, and can be used to note the headers that later make up the identifiers in the included 8-page table of contents. The page numbers are clearly readable yet unobtrusive, and the overall construction of the book with stitched pages, wrap-around cardstock cover, rounded corners, marker ribbon and closure band provides a refreshingly simplistic contrast to some "overloaded-with-features" luxury notebooks. For the minimalist journaller, this is the quintessential receptacle of his/her thoughts. For the scientist, traveller or naturalist, it is a wonderfully self-organising notebook. Perfect.
