Good Nib
This was a replacement for a more scratchy 1551 nib, this one was smooth but it had more hairline mars on the feed than the others I've owned.

This Esterbrook ReNew replacement nib and feed unit is marked 1551, a Firm Medium nib made of stainless steel. Esterbrook ReNew nib units are interchangeable, and to change them, you simply unscrew one and screw in another one.

great nib and purchase experience
I ordered two medium nibs (1551 & 2668) for an old Easterbrook I'd inherited. Both were beautiful in original(!) boxes and very carefully wrapped. Installed and tried both. Writing was excellent, and found a subtle difference in firmness in and slight difference in size (using the 2668 slightly bigger and tab more flex). Happy with both items.
