Incredibly cute, and functional

I have two Model 45s, and this Anderson Pens blue version is the prettier. The 45 is quite small but when posted, the length, weight, and diameter of the pen are okay; at my home desk, I normally use a standard or oversize pen, and I was not sure about the Model 45 until I got one. In common with other so called pocket pens, such as the Kaweco Sport, the short body length does not allow a reasonable capacity converter, so I expect use only cartridges; this is consistent with a pen which is used on the road, so to speak, where there are no ink bottles and a cartridge provides a practical spare ink capacity.

Excellent Pen

"While at the Anderson Pens Table at the 2018 LI Pen Show, I spotted & quickly purchased the FC ""SE AP Pocket Model 45 Blue Marble"" with a 1.1mm Steel Nib.

Brian said he just picked these pens up from FC at the Atlanta Pen show and had 2 pens left.

The blue marble body is one of the nicest looking pens in my collection. The finish has a deep dark blue, with bits of lighter pearlized chips that form the marble finish. I used my iPhone to take photos of the pen and the blue appears much brighter then in person.

The 1.1mm steel nib is superb, and it tuned just right. The ink from a Diamine Blue Tudor cartridge (or use as an eye dropper) flows generously, without any skipping to provide a quite enjoyable writing experience.

The only negative thing I can say about the pen is that it didn't have normally included leather pen sleeve that other FC offers."
