In a fine nib, this is just a bright red. In a flex, broad, or stub? Suddenly all these little shimmery mica particles appear, deepening the red into a luscious crimson with green-gold, shining accents. This is a special occasion ink, an ink made to accompany careful, practiced script. It shades beautifully, too!
Beautiful Orangish Red (With Glimmer)
This is a very nice ink. I use it in a Noodler's Ahab with excellent result. Hits the paper red but dries a rich, lovely Reddish orange. The metallic effect is subtle when viewed straight on, but is profound in full light or from an angle. Another thing to know is that the great people at Anderson's thoroughly mix the bottle before pouring the sample, so you can be sure that you are getting a proper ratio of ink to "gold dust".
