Description Jacques Herbin 350 Vert Atlantide fountain pen ink is a deep shade of green with gold and silver shimmer particles and comes packaged in a sturdy, square 50ml glass bottle with a wax seal. Inspired by the lush plant life said to have inhabited the fabled continent of Atlantis, Vert Atlantide is a tribute to the brand’s founder, Jacques Herbin. An esteemed navigator, Herbin was believed to have been enthralled by the legend of this lost civilization. Vert Atlantide was chosen in 2020 by pen and ink aficionados from across the globe to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Jacques Herbin brand; the oldest name in ink in the world. Jacques Herbin does include a fairly strict warning on the box, letting users know to clean out this highly saturated ink from your pen on a regular basis, but the ink is safe for fountain pens. The shimmer particles settle out of suspension fairly quickly, and these particles can be seen on the bottom of the bottle. The ink, and your pen, should be gently agitated before, and occasionally during, use for best results. Though similar to 1670 inks in depth and viscosity, the opening of the bottle is much wider, the wax top thicker, and the Jacques Herbin logo is engraved on the bottom of the bottle.
