A new fave
I love the color of this ink on cream paper. Unfortunately they're out of bottles. I haven't noticed any particular problems with the Iron Gall ink. It is not as wet an ink as some of the Noodlers I've used, so my fine nib produces a really fine line, not a line that swells out to match the medium nib.
As far as I can tell the ink is Iron Gall + pigment or dye, so it is possible to wash away the more orange color when it is fresh, although it seems a bit more stable once it dries. Presumably it will darken over time to a more dark brown due to aging of the Iron Gall component of the ink.
