Montblanc Corn Poppy Red ink
I had been looking for a red ink I could use to do general writing. Notes, letters, and lists. I found that in Montblanc’s Corn Poppy Red. I wanted a red ink with enough contrast to be easy to read and kind to my eyes. It also could not have any shades of purple, blue, or green added to achieve the high contrast. Corn Poppy is a contrasty, honest red without other hues showing through. I have been using the ink with a 1.5 mm stub nib and it gives good service. Starts quick, doesn’t clog, and dries quickly enough that there has been no smudging. I like the bottle. It is long and stable with a built in well that makes filling a snap. This is my first Montblanc ink and I look forward to trying other Montblanc inks. If you want a high contrast, easy to read and classic red ink I highly recommend you give Corn Poppy Red a look.
