Perfect for me
The black of this ink is very similar to Noodler's Bernanke Black. It dries faster than the Bernanke Black ink. Which is a key characteristic I wanted and like. I was hoping the Bernanke Black would be fast-drying based on its description. The American Eel dries faster. I haven't a clue about how to evaluate the lubricating aspect of the American Eel ink. The American Eel flows out of my Pilot Custom 743 with a Falcon nib just fine. I am not noticing any feathering of the ink in my journal. Once I finish the 6oz of black ink in my stock, I'll most likely reorder the American Eel and skip the Bernanke Black.
