Retro 51 honors our heroes and their amazing historical achievement with the new Tribute Series of rollerball pens. The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was a four-engine heavy bomber that was developed in the 1930's for the United States Army Air Corps. The B-17 was primarily employed by the United States Army Air Forces in daylight precision strategic bombing campaigns of WWII against German industrial and military targets.
Just as it is named, these writing instruments are a tribute to our heroes and their amazing achievements. Each pen has been finely crafted using several techniques to make the rollerball pen before you. We all have the power to make a positive change in the world or the people around us. We hope these pens will inspire such feats of accomplishment and to "go where no man has gone before." Each pen is numbered on the top ring and packaged in a custom tube. This twist-action rollerball mechanism can use either the included Retro 51 rollerball refill, or it can be converted into a ballpoint by switching to a common Parker-style ballpoint refill.
