This pen is somewhat chameleon like. It’s dark in appearance in natural light with visible, yet understated silver sparkles. But turn up the light or put it in the sun and the true beauty comes out. That’s when you really see the cranberry color and notice that there are pink and red sparkles also. The glitter particles are small and not gaudy. They remind me of champagne bubbles! And like champagne, I feel this is a celebratory pen with the year commemorated on the band. The gorgeous two toned nib really adds to the uniqueness of this 1911. I purchased the broad and it is perfection.
