The TWSBI ECO fountain pen in Transparent Green features a clear acrylic body and transparent green cap and turning knob, silver trim, a piston ink-filling system, smooth-writing steel nib and a screw-on cap. The TWSBI ECO piston ink-filling system uses only bottled ink and the clear body allows the user to view the level of ink remaining in the pen at all times. The pen cap has an inner cap liner that maintains a thorough seal when the pen is not in use.

The traditional mechanism of the fountain pen, combined with a modern industrial design, embodies both the past and the present. This pen runs about the same in length as the Diamond 580 and is just a tiny bit thinner. One difference between the ECO fountain pen and the other TWSBI pens is that the ECO does not have a removable nib unit, and the barrel and nib unit are all one piece. There will not be separate nib units for this pen.

TWSBI believes that it is important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen, in order to completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. The TWSBI pen packaging includes a wrench and silicone grease.

** Please note that these accessories are not intended to be used immediately, as they are better used for long-term care and maintenance. In addition, please use extra care if you choose to disassemble the nib and feed, as the feed is very fragile, and breakage or cracking could occur.

Adds a lot of pizzazz to the clear version of this pen

I generally like clear demonstrators, but I already had an clear Eco and an Eco-T, and wanted something to keep inked with my current obsession, Akkerman Hofkwartier Groen. People have already written many praises of the Eco (it's a terrific pen for the price; about the only thing I DON'T like about the Eco generally is that TWSBI does not sell replacement nibs and feeds), so I'll just add that the addition of a green cap and green blind cap really dresses up this pen! I wasn't expecting the pen to feel more expensive and fancy than a clear Eco, but it does!

I'm now on a hunt for the orange version.
