Description Jacques Herbin 1670 Shogun fountain pen ink is a deep, dark shade of brown with red and gold shimmer particles and comes packaged in a sturdy, square 50ml glass bottle with a wax seal. Jacques Herbin does include a fairly strict warning on the box, letting users know to clean out this highly saturated ink from your pen on a regular basis, but the ink is safe for fountain pens. The shimmer particles settle out of suspension fairly quickly, and these particles can be seen on the bottom of the bottle. The ink, and your pen, should be gently agitated before, and occasionally during, use for best results. This shade of ink color was created in partnership with Kenzo Takada, a famous creator and designer who sadly passed away just as the relationship had begun. This ink is thus a homage to this exceptional man. Creating was Kenzo Takada’s passion, a powerful drive to always bring beauty to the fore. The Herbin Shogun Ink by Kenzo Takada twilight-colored ink, reminiscent of a beautiful night of stars, is coated with fine red and gold shimmer. The resulting hue is reminiscent of certain armors from the Shogun era, for which Kenzo Takada held a fine appreciation.
