Sailor Bespoke 1911 King of Pen Urushi Fountain Pen - Black with Rhodium Trim
The King of Pen is Sailor's largest size fountain pen, and it is comparable in size and feel to the Montblanc 149 fountain pen or the Pelikan M1000 fountain pen. The Sailor 1911 King of Pen Urushi fountain pen shown here in Black-lacquered ebonite with Rhodium trim is well suited for someone who prefers a larger pen. The pen is hand-crafted from high quality ebonite and then painstakingly finished with up to twelve coats of black Urushi lacquer to produce incredibly lustrous color and shine. Urushi lacquer has been used as a decorative material in Japan for about two thousand years. The 21k nib is exceptionally smooth, and the pen can be filled with the included proprietary converter for use with bottled ink or with a standard Sailor cartridge, which is also included. Sailor has a company history stretching back to 1911, and a reputation for quality and value that few other pen manufacturers can ever hope to match.
