The snap-cap closes securely with a soft click, and does post on the end of the barrel while writing. A slightly slimmer profile makes this a very comfortable pen in the hand for longer writing sessions. The Waterman Hemisphere rollerball uses the Schmidt 5888 or Ceramic 888 rollerball refill.
