Caran d'Ache SwissRide Ballpoint refill
The relationship between pen and hand is not often considered. But to find a pen that makes writing or drawing a pleasure is a rare delight. Being a thrifty soul I am as likely to pick up a pen that I find discarded on the street as one that I have carefully selected in a stationer's office after a long morning of considering various candidates. And the pen that welcomes the caress of my fingers will be treasured through years of mind-numbingly tedious number-work and fleeting hours of intense creative story-telling alike. To face the possibility of discarding the empty husk of a SwissRide pen simply because the ink was expended would have been like saying farewell to a traveling companion, a loyal friend whose worth had been proven on the coarse pages of cheap notebooks as well as on fine writing paper; in short, something I could not countenance lightly. And thus, I thank Anderson Pens for granting to my traveling companion many more journeys as together, my pen and I take our line and see where it will lead us.
