I bought a sample of De Atrementis Atlantic Blue because I decided I was getting tired of my usual blue-black for serious use and wanted to try something new. Oh my goodness! This is an AMAZING ink. Not only does it lay down nice and wet, IT DOESN'T SOAK THROUGH NORMAL PAPER. Yes, folks, you heard me right. Using my wettest fountain pen (Lamy Safari with M nib), I can write normally on 20lb copy paper, and it barely even ghosts. It dries very quickly, and I think it would be a good option for left-handed fountain pen users. When water is dripped on it it blurs and feathers a bit, but honestly, you can pretty much still read what you've written. As with many darker inks, you do lose subtlety/shading, but it's still quite interesting on the page, especially as it dries. I highly recommend this ink if you need to use blue or black for work and don't like using black. I'm really impressed by this ink and plan to buy more (and probably more colors, as well!).
