Search for no bleeding
I have been searching for an ink that is less likely to bleed through paper, especially the cheap paper my bank's printer now uses for checks. After using Anderson's ink comparison tool, I settled on this ink and Noodler's Bernanke Black for testing. Both are good. Both dry quickly, but the Noodler's is just a little bit better.
I wrote several sentences, and the Noodler's didn't have quite as many bleed-through spots on the back of the paper, although neither ink created spots on the sheet of paper below the one I was writing on. As a final test, I drew a few squares and then colored them in. Noodler's ink had almost no bleed-through, just a couple of dots. Herbin had a bit more, yet that was only a couple of ghost gray patches. I will order the Noodler's, but the Herbin would be a fine second choice.
