Description Jacques Herbin 1798 Kyanite de Nepal fountain pen ink is a rich, deep shade of blue that leans toward turquoise with silver shimmer particles and comes as a 3ml sample in a plastic vial with a dip at the bottom to allow you to easily get every drop, labeled with the name of the ink brand and color. Kyanite de Nepal ink is inspired by the gemstone kyanite, which is considered to be a noble gemstone because of its similarities to sapphire. Jacques Herbin does include a fairly strict warning on the box, letting users know to clean out this highly saturated ink from your pen on a regular basis, but the ink is safe for fountain pens. The shimmer particles settle out of suspension fairly quickly, and these particles can be seen on the bottom of the bottle. The ink, and your pen, should be gently agitated before, and occasionally during, use for best results.
