Pink Ochre
Herbin's Rouille D'Ancre is an ink that I have a designated pen for. It's not an easy ink but, to me, the color worth a bit of fussing! I have been very impressed by Kobe inks so when this came along I tried a sample. Yikes! It's very similar to the Herbin, but just a tad further towards ochre from pink, and I think I like it a whole lot more. I still have a stash of the Herbin in the ink drawer, but I finally splashed out on this and am not regretting the upgrade.
If you have tried Rouille D'Ancre and didn't like it, I don't think this will win you over, but if, like me, you love Rouille D'Ancre, I think there's a good chance you will love this more!
... and if you don't know either, I recommend a sample first. Alongside any other pink, these just look brown, but given their own space, a lovely subtle pink clay earth.
I have never seen a scan or swatch that does these inks justice.
