Good utility pens; great value
The Preppy pens are great little utility pens for everyday bang-around use. Reliable and always write first time thx to the slip-and-seal-like enclosure. Nibs run "Japanese small" so I favor the Medium one.

The Platinum Preppy fountain pen is a terrific value for the price! This is a perfect starter fountain pen, or a wonderful option to keep at your desk. The pen features a clear plastic body, and a matching Black stainless steel nib. The nib does run a little on the fine side, and is available in sizes fine (0.3mm) or medium (0.5mm). The Preppy accepts Platinum cartridges or a Platinum converter to use with your choice of bottled ink. It comes with one Black ink cartridge, and the proprietary Platinum converter is sold separately. If you would like to use international cartridges instead, an optional adapter is also available!

Coloured nibs!
I was looking everywhere for these pens with the coloured nibs and I finally found them! If you haven't used a Platinum Preppy pen before- please do it, these pens are affordable and work very very well.
