The 1911 Large, also known as the 1911 Full-Size in some markets, is Sailor's flagship model, and features an elegantly tapered design and the amazingly smooth-writing 21k nibs for which Sailor is renowned. The Sailor 1911L in Black with rhodium trim and a luxurious nib offers a contemporary update on a classic style. At 5.5 inches long capped, this is a pen that will be a comfortable fit for most hands.

The Sailor 1911 Large fountain pen in Black with rhodium-plated trim is a cartridge-converter pen that can be filled with bottled ink using the Sailor converter or proprietary cartridges, both of which are included. It ships in an attractive presentation box. Sailor has a company history stretching back to 1911, and a reputation for quality and value that few other pen manufacturers can ever hope to match.

As an Authorized Sailor Dealer we have the ability to order just about any of the seven standard 21kt nibs (Extra Fine, Fine, Medium Fine, Medium, Broad, Zoom, Music) on any 1911 Large fountain pen. Some models do not carry all seven nibs and some are special order from Japan. Our stock changes constantly so if you have any questions, please Contact Us for more info!

As one of a select few retailers who are authorized to offer Sailor Bespoke pens and nibs, we also offer the Sailor 1911 Large fountain pens with Sailor's exclusive Bespoke specialty nibs such as the Naginata-Togi nib in Medium-Fine, Medium or Broad
, which can be found Here.

My new favorite pen

I've been trying for awhile to find a decently-sized (5"+) gold-nibbed pen that could write a fine (0.3mm-0.4mm) line with moderate wetness. Lamy 2k and Studios in EF weren't it, the Waterman Carene wasn't it, the Pilot Stargazer wasn't it, the Pelikan M600 wasn't it. The Platinum 3776 came the closest. This pen nailed it. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and absolutely adore the Sailor. It never leaves my pocket, writes a perfect Japanese fine line with a stiff nib that has a hint of feedback, with impeccable quality control. I'm extremely happy with the purchase and have become a Sailor convert.
