The timeless, streamlined silhouette feels good in the hand, and the snap cap closes securely. The cap also posts well on the barrel of the pen, and has a snug "catch" when fully engaged. The steel nib writes smoothly, and the pen fills with the included proprietary Sheaffer cartridge. The Sheaffer proprietary converter for use with bottled ink is available separately.
