The material has a brushed, or satin feel to it, making it less slippery in the hand than traditional resin pens. The silver trim adds a nice accent, and the twist-action mechanism extends and retracts the Parker-style ballpoint refill. Plastic hemp materials are obtained from the stem of the plant which provides a high quantity of cellulose. The cellulose is then processed into a strong and flexible plastic creating a bio-plastic.
